DESCRIPTION:National Conference of Hellenic Sepsis Study Group\nThe pandemic caused by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (disease COVID-19) was the springboard for the emergence of the Greek Sepsis Study Group as a protagonist of international therapeutic developments in the treatment of patients with serious infections. After the authorization of the drug anakinra for the treatment of adults with COVID-19 pneumonia by the European Medicines Agency\, a similar authorization was given in November 2022 by the Food and Drug Administration agency of the United States of America. Licensing is based on the results of phase II and III studies SAVE and SAVE-MORE. This success led to international recognition of our Group’s leadership in the development of precision therapeutic strategies for critically ill patients.\nThis two-day event must now evolve into a conference that is not limited to scientific information on current scientific developments\, but where the conduct of clinical trials is taught in a holistic way. DESCRIPTION:From rapid diagnostics to therapeutics: a modern scientific journey \nThe Hellenic Society of Chemotherapy is organizing a pan-Hellenic conference entitled “From rapid diagnostics to therapeutics: a modern scientific journey” on Friday\, September 26\, 2025\, Saturday\, September 27\, 2025 and Sunday\, September 28\, 2025 with a physical presence at the Elite City Resort Hotel in Kalamata. A significant part of the conference is dedicated to the studies conducted by the Hellenic Sepsis Study Group in collaboration with the Hellenic Institute for the Study of Sepsis and a significant part of the first day of the conference is dedicated to the regulatory way of conducting clinical trials. \nThose who wish to participate in the Conference are requested to register their participation by sending an email to conference@sepsis.gr stating the number of accompanying members. Afterwards\, the travel agency Imagine Congress & Travel\, which has undertaken the organization of the event\, will contact you for all the details of your accommodation. It is clarified that the organizers may cover the costs for the participation of those active in the clinics/units participating in the research activities of the Greek Sepsis Study Group.
