Data Analyst

Job description

The ideal candidate will use their passion for data analysis to provide insights to the Hellenic Institute for the Study of Sepsis research projects, covering a range of topics. They will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis and also build automated solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyze data related to clinical research projects
  • Understand how data must be presented and cleaned for further analysis
  • Develop clear visualizations to convey complicated data in a straightforward fashion
  • Compose statistical analysis description for articles in scientific papers
  • Editing results and visualizations for articles according to scientific papers’ instructions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience
  • 1 year Data Analysis experience
  • Very good knowledge of SPSS, Microsoft Excel and R
  • Any experience with GraphPad Prism and Microsoft Access will be considered a plus
Personal skill & Competences
  • Passionate about data, curious, attention to details
  • Very good command of the English language, including the ability to communicate information efficiently, in a well-organized manner and free of errors
  • Resilience and proactive approach to projects with deadlines
  • Good team player and reliable in further educating and guiding scientific staff
  • Confident and positive attitude

The Hellenic Institute for the Study of Sepsis is looking for an experienced person as a Personal Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to the President. Candidates must have the ability to be proactive. Necessary qualifications are a university degree, excellent knowledge of the English language, excellent computer skills and experience in a relevant position.
